Panelists scheduled to appear include MAC & Bistro Award winner Mary Foster Conklin, Thomas Honeck (MAC Award winner and booking manager for The Duplex), columnist and critic Roy Sander, MAC Award winner and Broadway performer Eric Michael Gillett, MAC, Nightlife and Bistro Award winner Lennie Watts. The panel will be moderated by MAC Award nominee Hector Coris.

Getting your feet wet in cabaret is no mere dip in the pool – it’s a full-fledged monsoon of finding club dates, hiring musicians, selecting your material, hiring a creative team – and many more elements that go into a cabaret show. However, with careful attention and a smart game plan, it is all possible. MAC has assembled a team of season cabaret professionals to answer all your questions and give their advice on how best to venture into this area of live entertainment. Come prepared with questions!

MAC’s mission is to advance the art and business of live entertainment. A trade association, its activities are designed to heighten public awareness of the field’s contributions and vitality, to honor its creativity, to build its current and future audiences, and to speak out as an influential voice on behalf of MAC members and the industry at large.

Members of MAC include cabaret, comedy and jazz artists, directors, musical directors, technical directors, musicians, club owners, booking managers, composers, lyricists, journalists, publicists, artists’ managers, agents, and friends and supporters of live entertainment. The organization was created in 1983.
