Dear Cabaret Family & Friends,
It was just a year ago, the morning
after the 2007 MAC Awards, that Cabaret Exchange launched. It’s been an
incredible year for us; we’ve grown and fine tuned the
site, with our mission statement “Raising the Bar on All Things
Cabaret” to guide us. We've achieved many of our initial goals, but still
have more to do.
Over the next twelve months, we will
actively focus on expanding our readership by entertaining and informing
the audience we know exists for our genre.
Some of our new features are...
- Rob Lester's column "Catch-up on Cabaret,"
sponsored by Jamie deRoy & friends
- Our podcast feature "Behind the Mic with Danny
Leary," located in our Media Section
- Reviews and interviews by our New Reviewers Project,
with a host of young writers new to the Cabaret scene
- Our expanded San Francisco coverage
Registration for the site is free, and as
a member, you can post your show listings, video clips, opinions of shows,
use the message boards and the classifieds.
We hope you will support us with frequent
visits, but you can also help us to bring special attention to your show, CD,
or service product, with a reasonably priced banner ad. Click on "Advertising"
for rates and information, and please consider us when planning your
advertising budget.
We're
glad we've been able to serve the Cabaret community for the past year, and we
look to the future while "Raising the Bar on All Things
Cabaret."
