                                                                                    The NYC solo debut of Cortés Alexander in The Swell Show takes place on Monday, May 13 at 7 pm at Birdland on West 44 Street.  He last appeared on Broadway as one of The Williams Brothers in the Tony Award-winning Liza’s at the Palace starring Liza Minnelli.

                                                                                               The Concerts for City Greens hosts a celebratory retrospective of its first five seasons in a gala concert at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street, on Tuesday, April 23 at 7pm. The show marks both the finale of last summer's Songwriting Contest, and the upcoming formation of a new non-profit Music and Art for Green, which will incorporate Concerts for City Greens within its umbrella.

                                                                                                                                                    Tuesday, April 16 will bring a Queen-sized tribute to the that legendary rock band's iconic lead singer, Freddie Mercury.  Singer Carly Ozard, noted by critics for her fearlessness and bravura sound, will take on the mercurial Mercury's songbook at Iridium NYC on Broadway,   Sets are at 8 pm and 10 pm.

                                                                                                              Editor's Note: A memorial for the late Jerry Scott will be held this Saturday, the fourth of May, at 2:30 pm.  Those who knew and loved him will gather with Chelsea Community Church, which meets at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, located at 346 West 20 Street,, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.  Seats have been set aside for family and close friends, with the remainder of the spaces available to the many Jerry knew and entertained for years in piano bars, etc., first come/ first seated.
