Originating in March 2010 as a part of Under The Covers, the New York Nightlife Award winning series produced by Lennie Watts, Terese Genecco sings this ground-breaking album from start to finish, in a groundbreaking live performance, accompanied by Musical Director and Windham Hill recording artist Sean Harkness on the guitar. From the somber blues-ballad arrangement of "Blue Suede Shoes" to the rocking "Just Because," Ms. Genecco presents Elvis' self-titled first album, Elvis Presley (recorded in 1954, 1955 and 1956), track by track, with a twist – every song is sung to a different beat than the original.
“I warn you, this is not your mother’s Elvis! It’s a perfect evening full of unexpected rhythms. Whether you are a devout Elvis fan, or a devout Terese Genecco fan, or both, this is a great show not to be missed!” ~ www.NiteLifeExchange.com

Elvis Presley was the first full-length studio album recorded by the "King of Rock-n-Roll." It spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top Pop Album chart in 1956. It was the first Rock-n-Roll album to ever make it to the top of the charts, and the very first Million-Selling Rock-n-Roll album. In 2003, it ranked #55 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 greatest albums of all time. Reservations are highly recommended, due to the intimate nature of the venue.
