This endearing offering of tales from over 85 consecutive years in show business, coupled with beautifully produced songs, has new, beautiful orchestrations, the likes of which have not been heard since the golden years of MGM. Not only does Mickey Rooney charm his way through a song, he writes many of these marvelous tunes as well. "Guess I’m Coming Down with the Blues” is a classic. “We’re Married” and “Judy,” are loving tributes to both his wife, Jan, and his beloved film partner, Judy Garland.
Jan Chamberlin Rooney, a songbird in her own right, has a powerful, crystal clear melodic voice. Her Pasty Cline medley and heart-wrenching rendition of “Smile,” alone are amazing to hear.
As Mickey sings “Nothing Can Stop Me Now,” don’t let anything stop you from reserving your tickets now, to what is certain to be a night to remember.
