Listening to their 2005 CD, Rhapsody in Bob (one of 14 albums to date), was a delightful 35-minute audio experience of rock and roll covers with twisted vocal arrangements and vocal instrumentation.
But nothing prepared me for the thrill of seeing them live at Iridium Jazz Club.
Hearing The Bobs (Richard Bob Greene, Matthew Bob Stull, Amy Bob Engelhardt and Dan Bob Schumacher) in a recording, one can imagine all types of audio-engineered tricks to make them sound as good as they do, but when those same four vocalists, with four hand mics, all alone on a stage, with the same phenomenal sound is pretty impressive . Dare I say, I was blown away. They literally "bob" around on stage, continuously changing places with each song and vocalizing amazing beats and instruments, as if there was a backup band right there with them.
